Anyone who has to produce a clear document showing how something is done, but doesn’t have to do it every week. In practice that means HR writing onboarding procedures, finance documenting a close process, operations capturing a handover before someone leaves, IT writing up a system change, and consultants delivering documentation to clients. Different job titles, identical problem: the work is occasional, so a monthly subscription is the wrong shape for it.

The extension only runs while a capture session you started is active. It does not run in the background and it does not monitor your browsing at any other time. Screenshots and exported documents are stored in Cloudflare R2 in the EU, the database and backend run on EU infrastructure, and everything in transit is encrypted over HTTPS. At install time it asks for access to no websites at all — the only sites permanently listed are our own app and backend. Access to the pages you document is optional and requested separately, the first time you press Start, and you can withdraw it at any time from Chrome’s extensions page. The capture script runs only in the single tab where you started a session, and only while that session is running. We never sell or share your data, and nothing you capture is sent to an AI provider or used to train any model. Capture sessions and exports are automatically deleted after 12 months, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time. The extension captures every click, form interaction, and page navigation. For each new page you visit, it takes a full screenshot and draws a numbered highlight badge over the element you interacted with. Multiple interactions on the same page are grouped into a single step with a sub-action list — keeping your SOP clean and concise.

No credit card is required to start. Capturing and editing stay free forever and unlimited, with no trial period and no time limit on your captures — you only pay from your second export onwards.

You can export as a PDF (€5) or as an HTML file (€3). The PDF is the right choice when the document is being sent to someone — a new starter, a colleague, an auditor, a client. The HTML version is useful if you want to drop the procedure into an intranet, internal portal, or knowledge base. Both include full screenshots with numbered callouts.

Yes. In your account export settings you can upload your logo, set custom header and footer text, choose fonts, adjust page orientation, and configure how screenshots are laid out. Every exported document carries your branding — not ours. Whoever receives it sees a document that looks like it came from your organisation, because as far as the document is concerned, it did.

Yes — MySOP.guru works with any website or web application running in Chrome. That covers HR and payroll systems, finance and ERP platforms, CRMs, ticketing tools, admin panels, and internal applications built in-house, including single-page apps that scroll inside their own containers. It does not capture desktop software that runs outside the browser.

Not in a single capture session today. A session records one application — you can move freely between its pages and screens, but if you switch to a different website partway through, the steps from the second one aren’t captured. Most procedures live in one system, so this rarely bites. When a process genuinely spans two applications, capture and export them as two documents. Support for multi-application sessions is on the roadmap.

Most documentation tools charge $15–29 per seat per month, whether you use them or not. That is good value if you document constantly. Most teams don’t: onboarding happens a few times a year, systems change occasionally, handovers happen when someone leaves, and projects finish when they finish. Produce three documents a year on a subscription and each one has effectively cost you over $100.
